Folio. First edition. (12), 624, (6) pp. Printer's device on title, and fine, large portrait of the author on verso of title and on last page. Woodcut illustrations throughout of astrological symbols, hundreds of hands, many faces and symbols of astrology. Contemporary calf with side paneled in blind and decorated in gilt and blind. Gilt spine with four raised bands, red morocco label, rubbed and partly chipped. Front hinge neatly repaired, title page restored at fore-margin, new fabric ties. Occasional light dampstaining, mostly marginal, early ink annotations on endpapers and in margins, p. 117/118 marginal torn. On the whole a good copy of this scarce item. (YSD-3686)
